Driving in hazardous road conditions is risky business for everyone and even more so for those who have poor eye sight. During this wet/cold weather, please consider the following simple tips before you sit behind the wheel if you are a glasses/contact wearer:
~Make sure your lenses are clean before you drive.
~Always carry a spare pair of glasses or lenses with you, especially on long journeys or when driving abroad.
~An anti-reflection coating reduces headlight reflections and allows clearer vision in poor light conditions.
~Never wear yellow tinted glasses at night. They darken shadows and make it difficult to see cyclists and pedestrians.
~ Ensure you have your eyes tested every 2 years.
